Same-sex marriages : another solution ?

In the "early period" of life on earth , much later including the human race (and also considering e.g. the Freudian model) it may have taken hundreds and hundreds , perhaps even (many) thousands of years before human organisms where conditioned to deliberately concentrate on the type of interaction that would increase there numbers as a species .

Among other things , insight in the relation between certain events and other events such a birth had to "emerge" first . It is defendable that a distinct conscious desire , even an urge , to increase the number of humans , developed along similar lines .

This development could have included the insight and doctrine that other forms of interaction had to be repressed .

To repress a strong urge is never a simple matter . It requires complex and continuous indoctrination and conditioning before a strong urge is repressed and remains repressed (the repression is "internalized") .

This applies to many forms of human behavior e.g. such as consumption of certain foods (e.g. sugar) , drinks (e.g. alcoholic) , drugs (e.g. amphetamines , heroin) and also habits (e.g. computer addiction , sexual habits ) .

Relevant specialists often believe that what is very much forbidden must be very much desired .

When conditioning really succeeds the original desire is transformed into an aversion . To re-condition this aversion , e.g. either neutralize it or even return it to the realm of the acceptable , ultimately perhaps even to preferable modes , may be as complex as re-anchoring the originally opposite doctrine in the human conscience which is largely stored in long term memory .

For relevant specialists in a position to make full use of the arsenal of modern media this may become increasingly easy but a cumbersome opposition would not help . This , for the powers that be , is one of the disadvantages of real democracies . Human conscience normally simply works that way.

Perhaps the time will come (some believe it already has) that the desire to increase the number of humans should be reduced , repressed or even reversed .

Our position is that although there may be (considerable) disadvantages associated with a (hasty) acceptance of same-sex marriages this mode could and should be considered and certainly preferred to other models such as (de facto) genocide and other doctrines (e.g. tolerance of Internet suicide pacts or eventually even their "covered" promotion) which we discuss under Euthanasia under Globalization .
